The Village, Loxton has an aura of old world charm. When entering The Village you will feel like you have been transported back to the late 1890s when the Loxton township was just being developed.

Foundations for The Village were laid in the 1970s when the Loxton National Trust branch built a pug and pine replica of 'Loxton's Hut' - there are now over 45 fully furnished buildings and sites depicting and preserving the history and the way early settlers lived. Several buildings are home to the 1956 Murray River Flood exhibition, an amazing collection of photos showing the heartbreak and destruction left when the banks of The Murray overflowed!

The whole family will enjoy The Village, let parents and grandparents reminisce whilst children learn how those before them once lived.
